An upcoming event: An invitation for an upcoming lunch and discussion with Alan Snitow, filmmaker of documentary of "THIRST." This will be an exciting program on the politics of water, including privatization, access to water and the concept of water as human rights. The program flyer is attached.
Time: Thursday, January 22nd, 12:30-2:00 Place: G.H. Cook Room, Cook Campus Center
This is an important event to attend because our current project in Thailand deals with water quality improvement and thus we have a responsibility to know more about water. It will be quite informative and interesting. |

EWB-Rutgers has official announced the Faculty Dinner Events to be held on January 29, 2009. In the past, the student chapter has had difficulties in getting university faculty involved with their projects. The goal of the evening is to both raise awareness of some of the EWB activities in addressing future needs as well as previous accomplishments. The dinner will be attended by faculty and administration who share a common interest in sustainability, international service learning, and third-world development. Also in attendance will be some of the faculty advisors from local EWB chapters. The event will be a business casual and is a closed event. However, if you are a professor who is interested, you may contact us to request an invitation at

Welcome to the new EWB-RU Website! A rapidgrowth in our university student chapter has lead us to expand over the internet in order to accomodate everyone who is interested in EWB. The new website features an easy-to-update database that will ensure quality resources and recent news updates on the website. This will allow for anyone who is interested in EWB to learn everything they need to start getting involved. The website will also house our seasonal newsletter, which is currently in development. This is aimed to keep all interested parties up to date with our recent successes, recognition, and upcoming events. Lastly, there will be an integrated community function that will allow for members to share files and interact with one another. This is a great way for new members to become involved and will also provide veteran members with a tool to manage their projects. Please be patient as we continue to develop this website. We hope that it will become a primary resource for the Rutgers chapter and also for all Northeast EWB chapters. Enjoy! |
