Rowers

Row2k
The premiere rowing resource for rowers, coxes, and coaches. Contains pictures from many races such as the Head of the Charles, Sprints, IRA's, etc.

Mike Spracklen Method
This explains the different parts of the stroke, from the catch, the drive, the finish, the release, and the recovery and other terms. The concept of the ideal stroke is also discussed here. But it does not explore the more technical aspects.

Technical Aspects of the Stroke
This is a more in - depth analysis and breakdown of the stroke. Its in PDF format you may need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader. The more experienced rowers / participants may find this quite interesting

The Ergometer
This is one of the most important pieces of equipment an athelete can train on. It provides a way to train when off the water. The ergometer or better known as the erg is also known as an indoor rower. These measure 500m splits, stroke rating, power output, etc. This piece of equipment aids athletes in developing muscles, technique, and other aspects of the stroke.

Regatta Sports
Contains photos and information from recent regattas. These are especially informative for the higher-level racers.

Coxes

#1 Resource for Cox's
This was one of the first websites that I found to be the most help when you're starting out. It contains information on calls, techniques, motivation, etc. This was the most informative site I could find when I first started out.

Café Coxswain
Another great resource for beginning to advanced coxes.

Getting Started

Getting Started by Concept2
Short simple guide provided by Concept2 (manufacturer's of ergometers) for those who want to start working out on the erg. Downside is that the directions are a bit limited but they are a great starting place to figure out what you're supposed to do.

Clubs Across the Country
Find a club near you! There's many clubs on here, though not all the links are up on here.

Scarlet Knights
Limited history of the Scarlet Knights and the Crew Program at Rutgers University. However it does not really fully explain the rich tradition and history of rowing that Rutgers fosters. People interested in the program at Rutgers will find this interesting on a top-level basis.
