For this site comparison assignment, I decided on using two clothing brand websites. I took the Stussy and Evisu websites and decided to make a comparison of the two sites based on four criteria, audience, navigation, functionality and visual design of each website. There were many aspects to each site that I liked, and some that I did not like and all of these will be discussed in this assignment.
Conclusion
In conclusion I think the Stussy site overall is better than the Evisu website. It may lack one function, the search function, but overall everything else is either better or at least equally on par with the Evisu website. What sets it further apart is the visually appealing part of the Stussy website that grabs you as soon as you visit it. It almost makes you want to buy something from the site or at least keep on looking while the Evisu site seems quite bland. This may be due to the Evisu executives believing that the people that do buy their clothes do not need to be amazed by graphics. Or they may feel like making as much money as they possibly can by maintaining a simple website and selling their clothes at very high prices. Obviously both sites work great as they are currently but its just that little something that sets the two apart.
About me
I am a Senior in the fall majoring in Information Technology and Informatics at Rutgers New Brunswick. I chose the two sites in this comparison because I like the fashion and the clothes that both brands sell so I decided to compare the two sites.
