Audience
Intended Users
The Stussy and Evisu sites both do not have a very specific set of users that can be picked out of a group. The only thing that can be said about the users is that most likely they all have a liking to urban culture and probably enjoy wearing higher-end street wear. Each brand also has their own loyal fan base that need to be catered to when they decide to purchase some of their respective brand’s clothing. Both sites will allow everybody to purchase and look at items.
User Goals
The main goal for users is to be able to easily purchase items from each site and to also look at which items are available in the new season. Some people may not actually purchase from the site and may actually go to one of the stores to purchase the items. To do this though, they would need to be able to find what they want easily and also to have clear pictures to get an idea of what they might be purchasing. Since both of these sites sell their clothing it is important for the site to be easy to access and easy to navigate as well. Both of these topics will be discussed later in this assignment in the Functionality and Navigation parts.
Skills
Both sites do not require too many skills as they are both very basic click and scroll websites. This is probably to make it easy for every possible person who may visit their site to feel comfortable and not overwhelmed with what the site has. This can be good for people new to each respective brand as they might feel like buying something.
First Impression

The first impression that a person may get from comparing the main page on each site is that the Stussy site looks much more visually appealing. The Evisu site, while clear in letting the user know where to go next, seems very simple. Based on this first impression only, people that are not familiar with each brand may pick Stussy over Evisu simply because it looks better. Also, for a user who does not know what Evisu is, they may not know what the site is about since they only see the navigation bar which says and the main graphic. While on the Stussy direct, they see models wearing the clothes and instantly know that it is a clothing brand. Somebody with a good idea of certain websites may be able to take a good educated guess that Evisu is a clothing brand based on the navigation bar saying “MENS”, “WOMENS”, and “SHOES” but that is not guaranteed.
