On June 12th, 2004, legendary Tony Montezuma was shot in the left
temple with a revolver by an unindentified suspect. He was rushed to
Cooper University Hospital on Kings Highway in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Unforunately, he died in the ambulance on the way. He was dead on
arrival. His funeral and burial procession took place at Alloway
Baptist Cemetary in Salem County on July 23rd, 2004; only the Reverand
showed. His tombstone stated: ANTHONY CARLSBAD MONTEZUMA
On October 28th, 2004,
several witnesses that
lived near the cemetary notified officials about a strange hole found
near the grave site of Tony Montezuma. Police officials surveyed the
area, found nothing, and filled in the hole. One day later, the hole
was back; however, this time a hand extruded the topsoil. Police were
called from several frantic housewives. The police arrived at Alloway
Baptist Cemetary and found a vacant grave where Montezuma was laid for
eternal rest. 1932 - 2004 Remember, Man, as you walk by, as you are now, so once was I; As I am now, so you must be. Prepare for death and follow me. Anthony Montezuma was now apart of the living dead. With a new sense of life and a renowned sense of a "second chance," Tony Montezuma changed his first name to Anthony and began to play music once again. Yet, rehashed lounge music seemed ridiculously out of place for his rebirth. Montezuma purchased an $88.00 acoustic guitar and began composing. Only, the "new" Montezuma felt constrained by writing techniques and memorization. He had already experienced an entire life of typical composed music under his old name. With his new moniker, Montezuma decided he would only record 100% impromptu music. "You must play from the soul in order to achieve physical and spiritual contentment. . ." When Anthony Montezuma was shot on June 12th, 2004, he saw Death in face. He experienced the inexplicable - death. As a member of the living dead, Anthony Montezuma realized he must take advantage of this new life that he was gratefully offered by fathomable outer forces. On the night of October 30th, 2004, Anthony Montezuma put his new meaning of life to work. Only 100% improvisional music was produced. The lyrics mysteriously contain a motif of the actor Tom Hanks and his many film appearances and roles. The lyricaly content is wholly interpretive and can be construed on many levels. The meaning is up to the listener. In the former content of this page, six out of the nine songs are offered to the public from "Tom Hanks." Enjoy. P.S. Mr. Anthony Montezuma will be appearing and performing at the fourth Ghoulstock in Bellmawr, New Jersey. The set date is January 7th, 2005. Come experience a new way of life. |
