Introduction
One of the greatest minds of the 1980's, Ferris Bueller, once said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
We use the same objects and visit the same places everyday without ever really stopping to really look at them. For this assignment, I took Mr. Bueller's advice and stopped to look around. What I found was pretty neat.
These are images are close ups of places and objects from my daily life seen in a new light.

Colored Pencils
Colored pencils are a really great distraction when I don't want to study. I color coded my class notes to avoid studying once. Okay fine, more than once but at least my notes are pretty.)
Dirty Quarter
Paper money carries traces of drugs, bacteria, viruses, and all kinds of other nasty things. Apparently, coins aren't much cleaner. After I took this picture, I washed my hand thoroughly.)
Zapper
Life must really have sucked without remote controls. can you seriously imagine having to get up every single time you wanted to change the channel? I'm far too lazy for that.)
Hungry Horse
The horse near the train station by my mom's school apparently has an appetite for the smooth, cool taste of metal locks. Yummy.)
Duck, Duck, GOOSE!
I felt bad when none of the geese would hang out with this one so I started making goose noises at him- and he talked back!)
Paper Birch
It was neat to see how the bark of the paper birch peels off in such thin layers. When it falls off, it curls up on the ground in spirals.)
Fishing
This blue heron was creeping around the edge of the lake searching for fish to munch on- until the geese came and scared him away.)
Candles on the cake
You know you're getting to be kind of old when you turn off the lights and your birthday candles light up the whole room. At least is isn't me who's getting old...yet.)
Decorative Drink
Bahama Breeze put a peice of sugarcane in my lemonade and being me, I decided to try to nibble at it. It was like gnawing on wood except much sweeter.)
Danger Door
The picture is funny, but the looks I got when people saw me taking a picture of a door were even better.)
Vines
The vine was growing up the sunny side of the tree. It looked like miniature trees growing out of the side of the tree.)
