A sullen and hateful swan

My name is Will Bennett, and this is my website. I'm a second year in the linguistics department at Rutgers, The Exalted State University of the State of New Jersey.

My research interests are mainly on the phonological side of the field: how phonetics, phonology & morphology (and sometimes syntax) intermingle and interact. My work tends to focus on under-represented/minority languages (particularly African languages), and I'm also very interested in language description & documentation.

Feel free to look around, more stuff will be up here sooner or later. The Research section can tell you a bit about the projects I'm working on at the moment. The Papers section has some downloadable instantiations of my work (more stuff is on the way). Check the Fieldwork section to see some languages I've looked at - if you're working on any of them, feel free to email me! The Useful Links section should be self-explanatory.

If you're a prospective student interested in the linguistics program here at Rutgers, you are welcome to ask me any miscellanous questions you might have about the department, the PhD course, graduate student life in New Brunswick, or whatever else.
