Below is a list of languages I've done some work with at some point. If you are looking for data or other information about any of these languages (or if you have information about them that you would like to share!) please send me an email.
(Malayo-Sumbawan | Indonesia)
I am interested in some morpho-phonological patterns in Sundanese, and looking for some data to fill some gaps from previous analyses.
I am still trying to find speakers! If you speak Sundanese, and you are willing to come up with the plural forms of a few words, please email me!
(Ijoid | Nigeria)
I am working with Akin Akinlabi and Bruce Connell on a project to document these two endangered languages spoken in the Niger Delta. You can find the project website here.
(Ethio-Semitic | Ethiopia)
I worked briefly on a variety of Amharic from Addis Ababa, which may have had some unexpected divergences from the standardly described dialect.
(Southern Bantu | South Africa)
isiZulu, isiXhosa, and their relatives.
(Austronesian | Indonesia)
also known as Mbojo, Bima, and Bimanese.
(Kwa | Ghana)
also spelled Gã, closely related to Dangme.
(Tibeto-Burman | Tibet)
as part of a fieldwork-based syntax course at Carleton College.
(Various families | Southern & Eastern Africa)
Ok, it's not really fieldwork. But, my research on clicks is based on looking at a lot of primary-source data from Southern African Khoisan languages, as well as Sandawe, Hadza, and Dahalo.
